Four sound machines, one sound — the difference is the hardware
Firefly — recharges, and never stops
Adds 30, 60 and 90 minute timers plus continuous play, a dimmable warm night light and USB-C charging. Continuous mode is the upgrade that matters if your baby wakes when the sound ends.
Sloth — listens and restarts itself
The only model with cry detection. It listens for up to an hour after a session and restarts the shushing on its own, so a 3am stir does not automatically become a job for a parent. Machine washable, and it doubles as a comforter.
Shusher Home — the nursery fixture
Layers two sounds at once and pairs them with a blue-light-free lamp, controlled from an app with no subscription. Built for whole-household sleep rather than carrying in a changing bag.
Soothing
Pacifiers built around the skin, not just the latch
Shushie pacifiers are moulded from hospital-grade, BPA-free silicone, with a beveled nipple and tapered shield shaped to mirror a natural latch.
The detail that separates them from most soothers is ventilation. Extra holes around the shield increase airflow and cut how much silicone rests against the face, which targets the chafing and redness that show up after long stretches of use. They are dishwasher safe, or can be boiled to sterilise.

Development
Tummy time that lasts longer than thirty seconds
The Tumzee holds a baby at a 15-degree incline instead of flat on the floor. Raising the head and chest takes load off the neck, so a baby who cannot yet hold a flat prone position can stay in it long enough for the session to count.
The angle also lifts the line of sight, which makes eye contact with a caregiver easier and gives the baby a reason to stay engaged rather than protest.
For awake, supervised use only — the manufacturer states it is never to be used for sleep.
Routines
A clock a toddler can read
The Stoplight Golight signals time with traffic-light colours rather than numbers, so a child too young to read a clock can act on it without an adult interpreting. Red to stay, yellow as a warning that time is nearly up, green to move on.
Its most useful setting is a green wake time: set the hour you are willing to start the day and "can I get up yet?" has an answer your child can check without waking you. The yellow stage matters too, since most bedtime and screen-time meltdowns come from an activity ending with no warning.

Everyday care
Saline, in the format each job actually needs
The Shusher Care line is sterile, drug-free, preservative-free saline sold in four formats: single-use 5 ml ampoules, a 30 ml nasal pump spray, a 100 ml multi-use mist, and a 180 ml wound wash. A portable mesh nebuliser sits alongside them.
Because there is no medication in any of it, there is no dosing schedule and no rebound congestion of the kind that limits how long a medicated decongestant can be used.
Check the concentration before you buy: 0.9% is the isotonic solution for nasal care and general rinsing, while the 5% hypertonic wound wash is for wound care only. They are not interchangeable.
